India is very diverse in what it offers for accommodations. Like most ancient cultures, there can be dated plumbing, electricity and construction and nestled within a few luxury accommodations. There is also a large disparity between income levels with servants earning very little and possibly living in a primitive setting compared to the merchants who earn enough to obtain a beautiful home in an upscale neighborhood. There are also natives and foreigners who capitalize on the burgeoning tourist industry and tend to provide a more modern, luxurious environment. For that reason, we can easily accommodate all types of budgets that work for everyone interested in attending and comfort zone for cleanliness, decor and location. For the higher-end accommodations there is an additional fee per week, per person. Whenever I travel to India I always fly into Delhi and stay for at least one night at the Pride Plaza Hotel. French Luxury Villa
This vintage Garden Villa is over 120 years old yet very well perserved with luxurious European and Chinese decor and is located in the heart of Pondicherry’s French Quarter. Less than 5 minutes from popular shops and eateries, this gorgeous space has a private, magical courtyard garden near the kitchen and opposite the living room. Adjacent to garden is a covered veranda that offers alfresco dining area. Offering four bedrooms – each with their unique style.
Bedroom #1 offers a Shanghai red oriental atmosphere with a high four-poster bed and Chinese oriental lamps on either side of an opium parlour headboard. A decadent maroon-themed bathroom with chandelier resting above a luxurious bathtub.
Bedroom #2 is accessed from the garden and is dressed in an indigo blue theme from east India. A four poster bed is framed in Chintz tapestry, art deco mirror, and private ensuite bathroom.
Bedroom #3 is located on the first level with a wrap around verandah overlooking the courtyard. This suite features a canopy queen bed and tall French doors that lead to a balcony with table and two chairs for a private cup of morning coffee or afternoon tea. This bedroom provides a TV ensuite bathroom and pantry.
Bedroom #4 is located through a covered passageway to a suite that consists of a spacious lounging area, private balcony, ensuite bathroom and two sets of double French doors. A large canopy bed forms the centerpiece of the room with a Dutch, East-India study desk. Bedroom #4 has a sitting lounge with large flat-screen TV and a private verandah with seating that overlooks the courtyard.
Complimentary daily breakfast and tea and coffee service throughout the day, private chef on call and available with advanced 24 hour notice. Full staff on hand: villa caretaker, two housekeepers, nighttime assistant, night time security and day time security to serve and care for your stay.
